From Nashville to DC

Well everything went to plan as we departed from Nashville, TN. We left arrived in DC and met up with the rest of our crew that would be flying out of DC to Addis Abba. We had a 4 hr lay over then we boarded the plane. Once we were all on the plane, everyone was ready for a long flight to Africa.

60 minutes later we were still sitting on the plane waiting to leave. Then they told us that there would be a delay due to control panel issue. So we just hung out on the plane for the next 4 and half hours. We ate on the plane and talked among each other on the plane. Listen to multiple babies cry on the plane, then watched Marely and Me on the plane. Then we were told due to the control panel that the flight would be delayed longer so we needed to collect our carry on's and exit the plane.

When we got off the plane we were told that we would not be leaving anytime soon. So we made ourselves at home in the waiting area. They announced over the intercom that the plane is fixed so we would be boarding in the next 30 minutes. 15 minutes later they told us that the flight crew was not aloud to fly the plane due to they exceeded the allotted time to fly a plane and they would have to rest before flying. I had no problem with that. Well it took over an hour just to get taxi's for everyone to bring us here at the hotel. Then when we got here, we hung out in the lobby for another 45 minutes because they had one hard working girl behind the desk giving out rooms to almost 80 people. She was a trooper.

Now that I have rested for 5 hours after being up for almost 48 hrs straight we are to leave today at 2:30. Yeaaaaa!

All I had to say through out all of this was, "God is so good." I love you Jesus for watching over us, and thank you for all that has committed to pray for us on this journey. God bless you all.
